New Artworks: "Escape the Ordinary" and "Born To Ride"

Lucy, renowned for her vibrant and colourful depictions of sheep, dogs, and northern landscapes, has launched two new artworks: "Escape the Ordinary" and "Born To Ride." These pieces follow the success of her previous cycling collection created as the official artist for the Tour de Yorkshire. Now available as mounted prints, framed prints and canvasses, and canvases on their own, these new works continue to capture the spirit of adventure with Lucy's distinctive style.

"Escape the Ordinary" captures a mountain biker's thrilling descent after a gruelling climb, conveying the freedom of escaping daily life. Lucy's use of darker tones immerses the viewer in the action, evoking the rush of the ride through misty mountain air.

"Born To Ride" depicts a lone rider on a challenging forest trail, capturing the determination and focus mountain biking demands. Inspired by Lucy's son, this piece reflects the passion of cycling enthusiasts. Bold natural tones and strong lines highlight the rugged terrain, while the rider's focus underscores the grit needed to conquer it.

Lucy’s latest works, demonstrate her evolving artistic vision while preserving the energy and connection to nature that have made her work so popular.

"Escape the Ordinary" and "Born To Ride" are now available as open-edition prints online, at www.lucypittaway.co.uk/artwork and in seven galleries throughout North Yorkshire and Cumbria. These pieces are ideal for those who appreciate both art and the outdoors.
